1 Summary

This report proposes to appoint named representatives to attend the National Social Services Conference 2001 on 17-19 October 2001 in Harrogate.

2 National Social Services Conference 2001 Appointment of Named Representatives

(i) At the meeting of the Social Services Committee on 23 March 2001 it was resolved to appoint four members to attend the National Social Services Conference 2001 together with the Director of Social Services and one member of his staff.

(ii) As a result of the forthcoming County Council Elections it was agreed that the four members to attend the conference should not be named at that meeting.

RECOMMENDATION

That consideration be given to appointing named representatives to attend the National Social Services Conference 2001.
