Welcome to the Education - Information and Research Unit

Information and Research Unit (IRU) provides a range of information services. Its responsibilities include:

· Maintaining records of numbers of pupils on roll in HCC schools (under Further Info)

· Compilation and initial analysis of school performance measures (e.g. Key Stage test results)

· Producing Statistical Publications relating to educational performance within HCC

· Introducing the Common Pupil Database.

· Using GIS to maintain records of school catchment areas.

The unit supplies information to numerous departments within Hampshire County Council.
