Annual Membership from 1 April to 31 March each year.

What is the Sports Association?

It is a generic term for the various clubs and marine facilities operated from the site. Membership is open to all. The categories include:

• Angling

• Annual Launch Pass

• Calshot Caravan (private site) and Camping (tent) Club

How do I obtain more details?

Please e-mail us or phone the Centre on 023 8089 2077 for an Association Pack. The membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March. All memberships automatically include membership of the Calshot Association.

What is the Calshot Association?

It is the representative body for all individual users of the site and all clubs and other organisations occupying parts of the site. Its specific objectives are:

a) To act as the link between the Centre Director and Centre users and to make suggestions regarding the Centre's range of facilities and their operation.

b) To seek to improve facilities at the Centre and to raise funds for specific projects at the Centre as agreed with its Director.

c) To represent the views of the Association to the County Council and other agencies and organisations.

The Association's AGM is held in June each year, all members are entitled to attend. Copies of the Constitution are available on request from the Secretary, who can be contacted via the Centre. Minutes of meetings are displayed on the Association noticeboard near the Visitor Centre.

What are the benefits of joining?

It gives users the opportunity to have their views considered by Centre management, as well as providing financial advantages which are listed below.

  • Discounted annual car parking (£32 instead of £45 public rate)
  • First £45 of room hire charges in any one year, when booked for member's social functions, waived
  • 10% discount on pre booked meals in our Dining Room and on Bed & Breakfast (limited availability)and on summer brochure courses over £100 (one course discount per membership)
  • 5% discount on Calshot souvenirs sold in the Visitor Centre
  • 50% discount on Badminton Courts (0900 -1700 only), subject to availability
  • Special Offers & Extended Finance from Solent Sailboards
