Individual courses are developed in accordance with the needs of employers. Teambuilding qualities are selected and combined in a programme which utilises a variety of our facilities. Low key reviewing sessions complete the package.
Both mental and physical challenges are carefully chosen to reinforce learning objectives and the level of activity is always well within the capabilities of individuals.
Our aims are to develop people, build the team and then improve team performance. Our professional team have been delivering these courses for over 20 years. We are experienced in both providing complete courses ourselves or complementing events arranged by other organisation.

Teambuilding Facilities At Calshot

We are able to combine our numerous on site facilities with exercises in the New Forest and the Solent.
Initiative & Low Ropes Courses A purpose built area for team tasks incorporating mental and physical challenges where success can only be achieved by team unison. A Night Line is included in this area, allowing a blind-folded team to negotiate various obstacles facilitating the vital skills of trust and communication.

High Ropes Course

Situated inside the Schneider Hangar this is an ideal way for individuals to find out about themselves, confront their fears, trust and support others, feel empathy and have shared experiences of the unknown.

Problem Solving

Tasks Our vast repertoire of problem solving tasks range from simple 10 minute exercises to longer more complex challenges.

Forest Exercises

In the New Forest we have several orienteering courses for both individual competition or team exercises. We are also able to set longer navigational challenges which can include completing tasks in pre-determined places.

Solent Navigation

On the Solent we have navigational exercises that involve 'buoy hopping' to a set destination. Guidance on chart and compass work is given. Participants may be given the opportunity to 'helm' the vessel.

River Crossing

A challenging and enjoyable team activity either in the New Forest or across our Canoe Pool!

Raft Building

A typical though effective team building event. Our situation provides variety in this exercise allowing us to build a raft of simple construction for use on the canoe pool or something more substantial to be used in our sheltered creek.

Corporate Events

Calshot provides year round opportunities for Corporate events. We have an unrivalled mix of exciting and challenging activities suitable for novices and experts, all tailored specifically to the client's requirements. Emphasis is placed on safety, enjoyment & learning.
All our staff are appropriately qualified for the various disciplines ensuring the best possible experience. All specialist clothing and equipment is provided for your visit.

What's available?

Landbased activities are offered throughout the year. These are either based inside our massive hangars, avoiding any inclement weather, or in the nearby New Forest.
Waterbased activities are offered between April and October. Sited on Britain's premier Watersports location we are ideally suited for learning and developing Watersports skills.

Activities At Calshot

Track cycling

One of only two indoor Velodromes in England – definite WOW! factor.

Climbing & Abseiling

We have the south's premier indoor climbing facility, easy angled slabs to a 13m overhang and Abseiling platform.

Skiing, Blading & Snowboarding

On our Snowflex slopes, safer & more realistic than the old type slopes.

Archery 

For the less adventurous, this requires accuracy & concentration.

Orienteering

An opportunity to practice navigation skills and enjoy some of the beautiful New Forest scenery. Excellent for working in small teams.

Mountain Biking

Either practice skills on site or explore the New Forest.

Dinghy Sailing

Funboats

Laser Pico's – Lively training boats for one or two persons.

RS Fevas - larger single-handed boats offering more room for adults

Wayfarers/Stratos - Up to three students with an instructor, the conventional way to learn to sail

Dart 16 Cat – Fast fun in these twin trapeze catamarans, up to three students with an instructor

Topper Buzz – Asymmetric racing dinghy, for sailors with some experience, one student with an instructor.

Windsurfing

Our stable boards are the perfect platform for those learning, and provide a progression for those who have windsurfed before.

Canoeing

This is a great activity as everybody has their own boat! Try kayaks, in either the creek or our canoe training pool.

Powerboating

We have a fleet of powerboats available for corporate use. These comprise 4.5m and 5.5m Ribs, one diesel displacement launch and some small tiller steered craft. Following instructional guidelines laid down by the Royal Yachting Association we introduce the principles of powerboat handling as well as an experience of the 'fast lane'. We can also provide navigation team exercises in and around the Solent.

Conference Facilities

Our suite of conference rooms overlooking the Solent provides both conference and seminar facilities. Why not combine a business conference with corporate activities or development training.

The Corporate Package

Whether its corporate activities, development training or conference facilities we can meet your needs. Our Dining Room provides an extensive menu, or alternatively you can choose a private Buffet.
Our recently-opened Mitchell building offers comfortable accommodation with private bathroom and toilet facilities, and sea views, in all rooms. More basic accommodation is also available.
We look forward to discussing your personal requirements, and drafting a programme to match. Our competitive price will be based upon the programme you choose.

Prices

Our competitive price is based upon the specific programme you choose. The following costs will offer you some guidelines.

Corporate days and Development Training/Teambuilding days start from
£600 ( weekdays), £700 (weekends) per activity group.
This includes practical and reviewing sessions.
Landbased activities work in groups of up to 10. 
If the numbers require the use of more instructors there will be an extra cost to meet.

Waterbased activities generally work in groups of up to 6, though a few activities require more staff so an additional cost is incurred.

Hire of Conference rooms start from £36 per day. (Minimum cost of Boothman )

Self service hot meals in the Centre's dining room are £6 (weekdays), £7 (weekends) per person, whilst your own private buffet starts from £9 per head. All meals should be booked in advance.

Corporate events, development training and conference room hire can be booked individually or packaged together in any combination, specific prices are available on request.

Bookings can be made for individual sessions or half days and these are priced pro rata.
