Colbury and Ashurst Theatrical Society

CATS is an enthusiastic amateur dramatic (amdram) society based in the village of Ashurst on the edge of the New Forest. That's the Ashurst near Totton in Hampshire, so neither the one in West Sussex nor the one in Kent. (You've probably driven through on the road from Southampton to Lyndhurst. Next time, slow down and give us a wave.)
We put on a Christmas production every year (frequently, but not always, a pantomime) with a large cast of adults and children. In the past we have put on a drama production in summer, and we are gradually moving towards year round productions, and other activities for members, including play readings.
CATS also has a thriving Youth Theatre group, which puts on its own productions.
You can find out more about how we came to be this way on our
History page.

Like most amdram societies, we are always looking for new members in all capacities. Interested? then

The web ring provides a way of finding out what other amateur dramatic societies are doing (and what their web sites look like) without needing to search for them! The downside of this is that the links are not specific to a locality - thus if you want to find other web sites in Hampshire you are better off starting at the Amdram web site and using their groups database, which is searchable by county.
