HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL'S

FORWARD PLAN

From : 1 December 2008

The Forward Plan sets out key decisions which will be made by the County Council or by its Executive, acting either individually or collectively as a Cabinet, in the next four months. It is updated and published at least 14 days before the start of the period to which it relates. The decisions are grouped by decision maker.

The Council has defined a key decision as one which is likely to either:

a. to result in the Council incurring expenditure, or making savings, which go over £1,000,000 or are less than that but are significant in terms of the local authority's budget for the service or function to which the decision relates; or

b. to be significant because it is likely to effect communities living or working in two or more electoral divisions in the County's administrative area.

The Executive may take decisions in respect of matters within the policy framework approved by the County Council, namely the:

Revenue and Capital Budget;

Community Strategy;

Performance Plan;

Plans and strategies which together comprise the Development Plan;

Corporate Strategy;

Local Transport Plan; and

Children and Young People's Plan.

This forward plan is prepared pursuant to Regulation 13 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2000.
