Southampton Choral Society is a
well-established
SATB choir in Southampton, Hampshire, UK. We give around four concerts
every year at different venues in and around Southampton. Derek Goodger
is temporarily directing us, while a new director is being chosen; and our rehearsals are accompanied by Alban Rees-Jones.
We
currently have about 90 members in the choir and we are always keen to
accept new members.
The Choral Society is a registered charity.
The administrative duties are performed by
a committee elected from the member body. The
committee is helped by a number of members who organise various activities
such as fund-raising, ticket sales, social events etc.
We have also been very
fortunate to have continued support from several individuals and
businesses who are Friends
of the Choir. We are very grateful for their contribution. |
