Hampshire County Council signs the Music Manifesto

Hampshire County Council has pledged its support to the manifesto - a Government sponsored initiative to improve music education by ensuring that children have access to a wide range of musical experiences. Signing up to the manifesto is part of the County Council's continuing commitment to providing a high quality music education for the county's children.

To mark the occasion, youngsters from St Bede Church of England Primary School, Winchester, performed a variety of music before Councillor Kirk, the County Council's Executive Member for Education. He was joined in the signing by Music Manifesto Champion, Marc Jaffrey, and other members of the County Council including Councillor Felicity Hindson, Executive Member for Children's Services.
