e-Government Strategy and IEG Statement

The key to the future of local government lies in putting the needs and aspirations of local people at the heart of what we do, and building services around them rather than around our organisations. The creative use of technology is one of the tools we are using to modernise our services. Our approach to this is set out in our "Implementing Electronic Government" (IEG) statement, submitted to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister on 31st October 2002.
