For 2006/07 Hampshire County Council will make efficiency savings in non-school budgets of £15.5 million.

Following the end of each financial year the County Council publishes an annual Statement of Accounts.

Retail Prices Index (RPI) and Consumer Price Index (CPI)
Since 2003 the CPI is used as the main measure of inflation in the economy rather than the RPI.
