St. Swithun's Church. Saxon, with later additions and alterations. Saxon nave and chancel. West end of original church had a great sculptured rood on the outside wall - now defaced. Upper floor had an altar just below the rood but it and the floor have disappeared. Tower Early English. Perpendicular roof at nave. C.13 wooden pulpit. Foundations at water table. O.S.A.
