| Iron Mill (Site) |
Fontley House Farm, lronmill Lane. In operation C.17-C.19. Forge with tilt hammer worked by water power from River Meon. Henry Cort, who patented new methods of processing and resmelting iron, built a new mill. Site covered with iron slag and iron stone. Mill race and dam remains. Mill pond, now dry, is under pasture.
