Field adjacent Wheatsheaf Inn. Extensive foundations of a villa or temple discovered many years ago. Finds include a small metal bull's head, part of a bronze armilla and several coins, including two of silver. Finds from the site in Basingstoke Museum include tiles, tesserae and pottery. O.S.A. St. Michael. Rebuilt 1865-6. Nave, chancel and bell turret with shingled spire. North arcade contains original C. 14 work. C.15 font, removed from Popham Church. Gilt patten of 1681.
