Sarsen Stone No. 24A
Church of St. Mary. Block of hard sandstone found under the north aisle. Geological origin uncertain. Used in prehistoric monuments such as Stonehenge and Avebury and Chambered Long Barrows. Defensive linear earthwork, 1,900 ft long with ditch on the west side situated in the south east corner of the parish and traversing the boundary into Yateley.
