St. Mary. Norman chancel arch and north door with dog-tooth ornament. Tower late C.17 but retains it's original arch. Fine early C.16 screen with rood loft and circular stairs. Fir View and Anne's Cottage. Tiled roof slopes down to first floor level at rear. Central brick chimney stack at rear. 2 storeys. Brick walls, rendered at back. Metal and wood semi-casement windows. Flat-topped open porches. Datestone 1639 placed centrally on front.     C.A.

The Malt House. 2 storeys. Timber-framed with herringbone brick infilling. Oversailing upper part on curved brackets. Old tile roof. Tile hung south gable end. Projecting wing at back with malthouse. Attractive frontage with an old Wisteria creeper reputed to be about 150 years old. House may be older than date shown. Before 1928 two hop kilns were attached to the western end.     T. & C.P. Act

Greywell Hill. Built on the side of a hill. Colourwashed stucco, moulded stone eaves. Hipped old tiled roof. Long east front of five bays. Flanked by 2-storey angular bays with hipped roofs. Large brick chimneys with offset heads. A well below the cellars said to be 120 ft deep, once supplied enough water for the needs of the entire household.     T. & C.P. Act

Old Wharf House. Colourwashed brick with some timber-framing. Formerly the village bakery and then in the 1920s the village shop. The tunnel of the Basingstoke Canal passes underneath the garden.     C.A.
