Cross (Remains)
Froyle Cross, on south side of St. Mary's Church. Believed to be base of mediaeval cross to Nicholas De Ely Bishop of Winchester (1 268-1280). Now forms base of memorial to the daughter of the then residents of Froyle Place, dated 1911. Ref: P.H.F.C.,Vol. 22, 1961, pp.35-6.     C.A.
