Villa (Site)	South of Finchmead Lane, Stroud. A large villa with baths excavated 1907-8. Basilican house measuring 140 ft. x 52 ft. of rectangular plan with projecting wings. At first divided by two rows of wooden columns, later divided into rooms with front corridor. Concrete posts mark site which has been turfed. O.S.A. No. SU72 SW1. Footpath	Folly Lane. Formerly known as White Hart Passage, when it was a track for horse-drawn coaches travelling to the Old White Hart Inn, now Nos. 18 and 20 High Street. The path runs from between these two properties, through a brick passageway out to the footpath by the stream in the present car park. Originally it continued over a bridge and on to College Street. Trackway	Boundary Lane. Ancient pack horse route avoiding steep gradients. At northern end meets Dark Hollow and Bell Hill Ridge, other trackways, and continues to Tilmore Road. Ref: 1.
