No. 15, The Square. Built 1866 as the Corn Exchange, and subsequently used for public entertainment. Slate roof with raised centre attic over front section only, with circular lunette. Formerly this attic extended the full length of building. The long side faces the High Street and contains four shops. Walls of stone, rendered. Replacement windows are casement with leaded lights. Modern shop fronts at ground floor. Originally the building has two tall arched windows with a matching doorway between, there being no upper storey inserted at that time. | C.A. N.P. Act A.O.N.B. |
