The George Hotel (to the rear of Nos. 16 and 18). Modern street front to the remaining rear part of an old hotel, which is approached by a carriage opening. 2 storeys. Slate mansard roof to the western half, steeper tiled roof to the east. Western part has red brick walls, stone coping to parapet, rubbed flat arches, stone sills and plinth. Eastern part has painted brickwork above and rendering below. Sash windows. Round-headed doorway with panelled door.     C.A.

No. 32. Slightly bowed symmetrical front of 3 storeys and basement. Moulded stone cornice. Yellow brickwork with flat arches and stone sills, arched doorways at each side. Sashes in reveals. Long first floor windows open onto a balcony with delicate wrought-iron rails. Deep doorways have radiating fanlights and panelled doors, above a flight of stone steps.     T. & C.P. Act

Old shop window on either side of the corner, which has a doorway with rusticated pilasters. South side has an arched doorway with a decorative fanlight.
