This small parish is squeezed in between Broughton to the north-west and West Tytherley to the south-east, and stands on the line of the Roman road which is very well defined and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. There is no parish church, and no village, the only buildings clustering round Buckholt Farm. There are some areas of woodland to the west of the farm, and a belt of trees leads north to Horseshoe Hill: the parish is crossed by several public footpaths, and there are some lovely views across the rich farming land of this unspoilt rural area.
