Nos. 25 and 26. 3 storeys and attic, painted brick, partly old tiled roof, three hipped dormers. Four sash windows with painted rubbed brick arches to upper floors. Small plate glass windows and two doors to ground floor. One bay faces east with similar windows on upper floors. Large modern plate-glass shop window on ground floor.     T. & C.P. Act

Nos. 27 and 28. Corner building designed on a curved frontage, 3 storeys, plain brick upper part with stone ground floor. The central part has two square windows flanking central blocked opening on second floor. Three tall sash windows on first floor. Ground floor has five bays divided by Greek Doric columns, modern window to each bay. The corner section to the right has two square sash windows to second floor and sash windows in arched recesses to first floor. Ground floor shop front. Section to the left has one window to each floor over panelled door with large rectangular fanlight.     T. & C.P. Act

The Meads

No. 39, Rivermead. 2 storeys, colour-washed stucco, hipped slate roof. Central part of east and west fronts has slight projection. East front has five sash windows on first floor and four on ground floor with central double doors in arched recesses. West front is similar but with French casement windows opening onto balcony on first floor. On the north side flight of steps with balustrade leads up to doorway. The house was built on the site of an earlier house which was burnt down in 1770.     T. & C. P. Act
