| Nature Reserve |
Titchfield Haven. Part of this reserve is within the parish. The Nature Reserve was formerly the estuary of the River Meon which receives most of its water from the chalk. Tidal water is excluded so that the estuary is an extensive fresh marsh. The area is locally important for surface feeding duck and supports a wide range of wetland birds and flora. The reserve forms a large part of the Titchfield Haven Site of Special Scientific Interest which extends beyond the reserve boundary. | SSSI |
