Nos. 9 and 11, Kames Cottage. C.18/19 brick facade to a C.15 hall type house with massive roof timbers. Now two storeys with steeply pitched tiled roof. Sash windows in boxed frames. On the north side a segmental arch gives entrance to porch built inside facade; here exposed timber gives evidence of former jetty. Ends of purlins can be seen in south wall.     T&CP Act

The whole building is of three storeys, with painted brick fa‡ade, tiled roof. Canted bay window on ground and first floors, all windows sashes with glazing bars, casement windows to top floor of northern part. Porch has Doric columns and pediment.
