Nos. 40 and 42. Two storeys, painted brick facade, old tiled roof. Four window facade, the outer bays recessed, bay to south is unpainted; sash windows in boxed frames. No. 40 has C.19 shop front with ogee arches and door to south with fluted pilasters, pediment and semi-circular tympanum; it was originally a public house.
