Nos. 1-4, Eastern Terrace. Four of a terrace of five two and half storey brick houses. Slate roof with ornate ridge tiles and finial. Stone splayed bays at first and second storeys. Half-storey window wholly in gable. Balustraded balcony over second storey bays, this is continuous between Nos. 2 and 3. Forecourts with panelled brick walls.     SZ 663 986

St. Helen's Parade
D-Day Memorial. The memorial is formed of an island site at the confluence of St. Helen's Parade and The Esplanade, it is a small garden of rest, partially sunken, the focal point of which is the simple, plain block of stone. This is appropriately inscribed to commemorate the sailing of troops from the City for the landings on the Normandy coast for the liberation of Europe in June 1944, World War II.     SZ 653 982

Nos. 5, 7, 9 and 11. Two pairs semi-detached, brick built. Three and haIf storeys plus semi-basement. Pantile roof. Acute pitch to gables with bargeboards. Stone bays at ground floor and semi-basement with turret tops. Stone quoins and reveals to the flush windows, Gothic style quoined arch over doorway, which is reached up eight steps. Nos. 21 and 23. Semi-detached, Two and half storey plus semi-basement. Mansard roof with arched dormers. Half round gable heading an extended brick elevation with arched lintels to windows. Dentil course at eaves and on chimney stacks. Second storey has four flush windows with drip mould and string course. Upper storeys have arched lintels to windows. Large splayed stone bays at first storey and semi-basement, sills of lower bays at street level. Projecting stone porch with flat canopy on four stone pillars, doorway reached up ten stone steps.     SZ 657 986
