No. 44, Freestone Lodge. Two and half storeys red brick structure with quoins features. Slate roof with decorative bargeboards. Ogee arches to doorway and windows.     CA

Nos. 1-5 and Mill Cote, (Dock Mill Cottages). Early C.19 group of two storey red brick cottages. Nos. 1 and 2 facing Nos. 3, 4, 5 and Mill Cote. Hipped old tile roofs, restored. Nos. 1-5 have one window each recessed sashes, glazing bars removed. Glazed paired doors. Fronts of Nos. 3, 4 and 5 have flush framed sashes. Mill Cote adjoins No. 5 and extends further south. One window on north front, three windows on east front, and modern, though early C.19 style, rectangular bay window on ground floor. South end has renewed canted bay window on first floor, and one sash window on ground floor.     SZ 649 988

The Aukland Arms. Two storeys, gabled roof. Vertical sash windows. Ground floor, red and turquoise tiles, first floor stuccoed. Ground floor has semi-circular window, with stained glass, elaborately decorated with keystone and tiles. Doors either side similarly decorated. Building is set back from the road with a bench outside.     CA

Kingston Hotel. Three storeys, gabled, slate roof, with simple bargeboards. Middle section of house projects slightly. First floor has two bay windows. Ground floor windows have shutters. Two scroll brackets at top of doorway which is in centre projecting portion.     CA

Nos. 1-8, Richmond Terrace. By T.E. Owen. Terrace of three storey houses with attics. Slate roofs, majority have white painted facades. String course between the floors. All, except No. 1, have ground floor shallow bays with sash windows, balconettes above. Panelled front doors with six steps leading up. Small front gardens, stone piers to gate.     CA
