Nos. 38-42. Short symmetrical terrace of three storey houses with attic and basement. Stucco faced with low pitch hipped slate roof. Projecting end bays with low pitched gables, four dormers range between. Pilaster framed sash windows on second floor. Bracketed first floor balcony. Projecting end houses have individual balconies, surmounted by a tent canopy. Rusticated ground floor facade, round arched porches, containing panelled doors reached up three steps, some altered.     CA

Royal Beach Hotel. Four storeys, with attic and basement stucco finish. Front facade has two four storey angular bays and one single storey bay. Sash windows. Attractive wrought iron balconies at first, second and third floor levels, the second floor balcony being continuous. The west facade has three angular sash bays running through four storeys. No. 49. A two storey villa with small tower faced in knapped flint with galletting, with sandstone dressings and quoins. Castellations at roof level over main building and tower. Narrow paired sash windows surmounted by acutely angled arch. Front entrance in 'tower', original vertical boarded door surmounted by triangular fanlight and acutely angled arch. Nos. 14-44. A pre-1865 terrace of three storey and attic stucco faced houses with quoins. Slate roofs. Vertical sash windows, string course between the floors. Panelled doors reached up steps with iron hand rails. Most houses have the original windows, but only three have the original cast iron boundary railings.     CA
