No. 11, The Market Hall. The front is in Portland stone, with a portico of four Tuscan columns, with high pediment. Projecting ground floor block within the columns is dated 1897. The hall behind the fa‡ade is a plain brick structure with slate roof. Timber clock turret of 1897.     P(LB&CA) Act

Nos. 13 and 15. Probably originally one house. Exposed timber frame with floor jettied on a moulded beam, straight and curved braces. Upper floor has white painted plaster infilling, the ground-floor is brick-nogged. Tudor diagonal chimney-stack. The part to the east is modern, also modern tile roof and casement windows.     P(LB&CA) Act

No. 25, Botley House. Two storeys with attic and basement, hipped red tile roof, hipped dormer windows. Symmetrical facade, with five windows, and parapet forming a pediment above the central front. Built in red brick, side walls are of blue headers, sash windows, first floor central window is round-headed. Bold doorcase approached up five steps with side rails.     P(LB&CA) Act

No. 29, Portland House. Two-storeyed Victorian house. Built in yellow brick with a slate roof, stepped chimney stacks. Ornate barge boards with finials and scalloped edges to the many gables. Sash windows in reveals and one ground floor bay, simple doorway. Building unaltered.     P(LB&CA) Act
