Walk No. 5 - Park Hill
Aprrox. two and three quarter miles taking one and a half hours

From the Car Park go east along Workhouse Lane, then straight on through the centre of the village, following the
path to the left of the river, past the Izaak Walton Pub. Turn left up
the path between two thatched cottages and follow this path through the Allotments until you come to the cottages
at Frogmore, where you turn left onto the road.
Follow this road out of Frogmore for about 200 yards until you come to a small track on the left which is known
as Gravel lane and is one of the old sunken lanes coming into the village. Follow this lane up to another road by
German's Barn, where you turn left and then take the first road right past Park Lodge.
Go up this road and at the top of the hill you come to a farm with a pond on your left. Just before this turn sharp
left over a stile and follow the road hedge. After the next stile turn right up the hill to the fence, which you then
follow keeping it on your right.
Just past a redundant stile you look down towards the hamlet of Frogmore and below you is an area known as Vineyard
hole; it is believed that in past times vines were grown here, hence the name. Carry on along the top of the hill
where you get a birds'- eye view of the village. As you come down towards a hedge turn left and follow it down
to a stile at the bottom. Cross the stile, down some steps and turn left down the path towards the
Churchyard where there is a gate at the bottom right hand corner.
Cross the road and carry on down The Cross along which you will cross the River Meon. At the end of the Cross
turn right into Workhouse Lane and back to the Cark Park.
