The Scientific Service

Pollution

The Scientific Service has a team of scientists to address problems concerned with pollution of land, water and air.

Land	monitoring tip sites for pollution analysis of soil from contaminated land for poisons
Air	checking "acid" levels in rain lead, smoke and fumes (e.g. sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides) testing emissions from incinerators
Water	checking drinking water, bathing beach water, swimming pool water for contamination

Charges payable for scientific advice and chemical analysis.

Some work free to the public if delivered via an Environmental Health Department or Trading Standards Service.

The public, local government departments, central government departments.
