Art Project

The Living Album project has been working with the contemporary artist Delaine Le Bas to provide art workshops to schools across the county. Delaine is also producing a unique piece of art for the project which will be touring with the exhibition.

Delaine is from a Romany background and describes her work as "at the point where Outsider, Folk and Contemporary Art meet, combining a visionary, conceptual and craft approach…As a Romany, my viewpoint has always been that of the outsider and this position as the "other" is reflected in the materials and messages in my work".

Delaine studied at St. Martin's School of Art and has shown her work at galleries across the UK, Europe and the United States. Two recent exhibitions have been "Room" at the Transition Gallery in London and the very successful "Second Site" exhibition which has been touring through the UK.
