The School Travel Planning Team
Hampshire County Council is pleased to offer a free school travel planning advice and support service for those schools interested in developing a School Travel Plan.

The County Council has been successfully working with schools to help develop School Travel Plans for a number of years with funding from a bursary grant from the Department for Transport (DfT). The DfT and Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) have now extended and increased this bursary funding.
As a result the School Travel Planning team of five staff has now been established within the Highways and Transport Policy Group of the Environment Department.
The School Travel Planning Team is on hand to provide practical advice, information and support materials. They offer telephone support, school visits and a comprehensive resource pack on developing a travel plan.

Not only will the team be able to provide step by step guidance on how to develop a travel plan, but they are also available to attend meetings (either with staff, parents/guardians, governors or students) to discuss how the plan might be implemented.
Should you wish to contact the team, then please do so using the details below.
