Hampshire's 'School Travel Plans' logoThis website is for pupils, teachers, governors and parents interested in finding out about School Travel Plans and the Safer Routes to Schools Programme.

Our website also provides you a monthly update on the status of travel plans in Hampshire e.g. who has one?

IMPORTANT NOTICE

State schools without a travel plan only have ONE MORE YEAR to claim the DCSF Capital Grant.

Pupil/parent surveys should be undertaken by the end of July 09 to be on schedule for submission of their draft.

If you are interested in developing applying for this grant on behalf of your school please contact the School Travel Planning Team.

Tip of the Month:

Tip from Nursling Primary School;

Members of the School Council give out raffle tickets each morning to children who have walked or cycled and to children whose parents have parked in the near by community centre car park and walked the rest of the distance into school.

At the end of each week winners are drawn and receive small prizes such as pencils, stickers, marbles. They also produced a road safety video, which they have made available on their website;
