5. As always, Southampton Central has proved a very busy location but
here, as in the other stations, we have been received with courtesy
and prompt attention.
6. We note with pleasure the refurbishment at Bitterne but have
listed problems with the plumbing and would suggest better
screening in the shower area. These and other matters are under
consideration or have already been remedied.
7. We are most impressed by the sympathetic understanding for the
detainees' welfare shown by custody officers. Many complimentary
remarks about the Police have been received from those in custody.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the report be noted.
