Soberton Parish Council serves the communities of Soberton, Soberton Heath and Newtown, together with the settlements at Hundred Acres, Kingsmead, Hoe Gate.

As those who live here know only too well, Soberton and Newtown (shorthand for the parish as a whole) is a lively, friendly community with lots going on….

The parish boasts two village halls, plus a Guide Hut, a recreation ground and football pavilion, two churches and a chapel, a village pond, four pubs, a (part-time) post office, and a thriving primary school. Within the parish boundary is part of the glorious Forest of Bere…

This website provides information for residents of Soberton and Newtown: information about Soberton Parish Council and its work and also information about our community, its facilities, organisations and events.

However, so far, there is only limited information about the community and its organisations.
