WELCOME TO TANGLEY PARISH

Planning Application No. 07/00533/FULLN

The Parish of Tangley consists of three villages, Tangley, Wildhern and Hatherden and the hamlets of Charlton Down and Little Hatherden. It is situated in the north west corner of Hampshire and most of it is an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Icknield Way, the Roman road from Winchester to Cirencester, runs through the parish.

Our Parish covers an area of 4017 acres and has just over 600 residents.

The houses are typical of the different kinds to be found in the area with the older ones being of flint and brick and chalk cob with thatched or tiled roofs.

We hope you enjoy this guide to the past, present and future of the Parish of Tangley.
