The Chapel today

The chapel in 1903

The first reference to the Wildhern chapel is 1818, when a certificate was issued allowing worship to take place in the building. Towards the end of 1879 the community was anxious to construct a larger chapel. With money raised by local subscription they obtained a corner of land, villagers used clay from the nearby Pill Heath quarry to make the bricks, completing the new chapel in 1880.

The chapel has recently been refurbished with chairs replacing the pews and there is also a superb new organ, which was generously donated.

Wildhern Chapel is under the pastoral charge of the Superintendent minister Reverend David R Hall.
