The road closures are essential so that new surface water drainage can be installed, and the new traffic signals can be connected.
The road closures will be in place from Wednesday 7 August until Tuesday 3 September between 9:30am and 4:30pm Monday - Friday. The roads will be open outside of working hours and at weekends.
Signed diversions will be in place.
Access to residents’ properties within the works areas will be maintained wherever possible and access will be available for emergency services during this time.
This Hampshire County Council scheme will increase capacity on the A3057 at Nursling and Rownhams to better cope with additional traffic generated by new development in the area and reduce congestion.
Once completed, the new road layout will make it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle and ensure more reliable journey times for bus passengers.
