Members of the public are invited to come along and enjoy special performances from the Hampshire County Youth Band itself, as well as the Hampshire County Training Band, Hampshire County Junior Band, The Cory Band, and The Alumni Band.

Councillor Edward Heron, Hampshire County Council’s Executive Lead Member for Children’s Services, said: “Being part of a music group enables children and young people to join a supportive community while developing their skills, sharing their love of music, and finding a creative outlet.

“Every member of the Hampshire County Youth Band - from 1963, when the band was first formed, up until today - should be incredibly proud of this fantastic milestone, marking sixty years of musical dedication. Good luck to everyone performing in April and happy 60th anniversary!”

The Hampshire Youth Band is part of a network of 60 groups run by the County Council’s Hampshire Music Service and brings together over 100 talented young musicians from across Hampshire.
