For most this will mean moving on to their next stage of education, training or employment, but for those who haven’t achieved the grades they needed, or who have had a change of heart about what they would like to do, help and advice is on hand.

Hampshire County Council’s dedicated telephone and email support service from Hampshire Futures – staffed by friendly and knowledgeable careers advisers, is available today and tomorrow to answer queries and offer advice.

Councillor Steve Forster, the County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, said:

“Firstly, I would like to congratulate those who are celebrating today and wish them the best in their future endeavours. I am also sincerely grateful to the parents, carers, and the exceptional teachers and tutors in our colleges, sixth forms, and training providers who have supported Hampshire’s young people on their path to success.

“If you didn’t get the results you were hoping for, or are not sure what to do next, there are many options available to enable you to reach your goals. Our dedicated helpline is just one way for students and their parents to talk through the options, with school and college careers advisers also standing by to support those who need to rethink their next steps.”
