Jun 30 2023

Councillor Rob Humby, County Council Leader, said: “I am absolutely delighted to be introducing these brand new Awards and celebrate those driving sustainable economic growth in this region.

“A strong, prosperous, and thriving economy is absolutely essential to promoting a high quality of life for all and our successful business community provides the all-important foundations to achieve this.

“Hampshire is a great place in which to live, work, visit and play and we are incredibly fortunate to have a vast array of well-established industries and businesses, as well as a strong bank of start-ups in this region. It’s important to highlight their contribution in securing economic and social prosperity for us all.

“These awards will put Hampshire industry and commerce in the spotlight and I’m really keen to see entries for the awards coming in from all over the county including the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton and the Isle of Wight.”

Chief Executive Officer of The Business Magazine, Richard Thompson, said: "We’re very excited to have an opportunity to celebrate the innovation, determination and ingenuity of Hampshire's business community which is something that we see at The Business Magazine, through our sister publications and events, day in and day out.

Nominations for the awards are now open with a closing date of 15 September 2023. For more information and to submit nominations, see the Hampshire Business Awards webpages on The Business Magazine website:
