Hampshire County Council is proposing to submit a planning application to enlarge Bishops Waltham Infant School and Bishops Waltham Junior School

Purpose

The County Council is proposing to submit a planning application to enlarge Bishops Waltham Infant School and Bishop’s Waltham Junior School.

We would therefore like to invite you to a drop in session on Wednesday 18 January at the Bishop’s Waltham Junior School between 3:30pm and 6pm.

Description

The consultation will run from Friday 6 January to Friday 3 February. The proposed enlargement would allow the capacity of the Infant school to be increased to offer up to 90 places in Year R (age 4+) from September 2018 and the Junior school to be increased to  offer 90 places in Year 3 (ages 7+)from September 2019. This will eventually allow Bishops Waltham Infant School to cater for 270 pupils and Bishop’s Waltham Junior Schools to cater for 360 pupils.

A statutory consultation process on the principle of school expansion concluded on Friday 7 October 2016. The Director of Children’s Services subsequently approved, subject to planning permission, the expansion of the school on 7 December 2016.
