Principle of Enlargement Consultation – Proposal to Enlarge Bordon Infant and Bordon Junior Schools

Closed on

The County Council is proposing to submit a planning application to permanently enlarge the premises of Bordon Infant and Bordon Junior Schools

Drop-in session

We would therefore like to invite you to a drop in session on Tuesday 17 January at Bordon Infant School between 3pm and 6pm when officers will be available to discuss the Council's plans for additional buildings on the school site.

The consultation will run from Monday 9 January  to Friday 10 February. The proposed expansion would allow the capacity of both school sites to be increased to allow Bordon Infant School to offer 90 places for Year R (age 4+) and Bordon Junior School offer 90 places for Year 3 (age 7+) from September 2019. This will allow the infant school to cater for 270 pupils and junior school to cater for 360 pupils across their seven year groups.

A statutory consultation process on the principle of school expansion concluded on Friday 7 October 2016. The Director of Children’s Services subsequently approved, subject to planning permission, the expansion of the school on 7 December 2016.
