Pre-planning Consultation – Proposal to enlarge Petersgate Infant School

Closed on

The County Council wish to consult with you ahead of its proposal to submit a planning application to permanently enlarge the premises of Petersgate Infant School. We would therefore like to invite you to a drop in session on 13 March 2018 at Petersgate Infant School between 3pm and 6pm when officers will be available to discuss the Council’s plans for additional buildings on the school site.

This consultation will run from 27 February 2018 to 27 March 2018.

The proposed expansion would allow the capacity of Petersgate Infant School to be increased in order to offer up to 90 places in Year R (age 4+) from September 2019. This will allow Petersgate Infant School to cater for 270 pupils across 3 year groups.

A statutory consultation process on the principle of school expansion concluded in 11 December 2017. The Director of Children’s Services subsequently approved, subject to planning permission, the expansion of the school in February 2018.
