Pre-Planning Consultation – Replacement of existing one temporary double classroom with permanent accommodation at Shepherds Down Special School

Closed on

Hampshire County Council wish to consult with you ahead of its proposal to submit a planning application to replace the existing one temporary double classroom with permanent accommodation at Shepherds Down Special School. We would therefore like to invite you to a drop-in session on 3 October 2019 at Shepherds Down Special School, Winchester between 2:30pm and 6:00pm when officers will be available to discuss the Council’s plans for additional buildings on the school site.

This consultation will run from 18 September to 16 October 2019.

The proposed building works will allow the current capacity of the school to be accommodated within permanent facilities. This proposed scheme includes an extension of two classrooms, two support ancillary rooms, and an extension to the existing school’s dining hall. Following the proposed building works, one temporary double classroom will be removed. The capacity of Shepherds Down Special School will remain at 158 places across seven year groups.
