The Service is being reviewed to ensure that the Service remains fit for purpose in the future, as well as operating efficiently.
Feedback from the consultation will inform and shape final proposals for a redesign of the Service.
The options in this consultation, if taken forward and agreed, would lead to the services being remodelled and realigned to deliver annual savings of over £300,000, as well as additional savings of around £400,000 through changes in how the service procures and sells services, and through proposal changes that are being consulted on separately with staff.
The consultation is open from Tuesday 22 January 2019 and closes at 23:59 hours on Saturday 9 March 2019.
Note that responses received after this time will not be included in the findings report.
The findings from this consultation will be presented to Children’s Services Departmental Management Team later in 2019 for consideration when making their decisions about changes to the Service.
Stakeholders and other interested parties are welcome to attend drop-in sessions, where they can ask questions about the proposals in this document. Three drop-in events are planned:
