Proposal to Enlarge Trosnant Infant School and Trosnant Junior School

Closed on

The County Council is proposing to submit a planning application to enlarge Trosnant Infant School and Trosnant Junior School

The consultation will run from Monday 19 September to Friday 14 October. The proposed enlargement would allow the capacity of Trosnant Infant School to offer 90 places for Year R (age 4+) and Trosnant Junior School offer 90 places for Year 3 (age 7+) from September 2018. This will allow the infant school to cater for 270 pupils and the junior school to cater for 360 pupils across their seven year groups.

A statutory consultation process on the principle of school expansion concluded on Friday 1 April. The Director of Children’s Services subsequently approved, subject to planning permission, the expansion of the school on Friday 15 April 2016.
