On the day


There are probably other couples using the facilities on the same day, so to keep the ceremony room looking tidy, please ensure that your guests wait until they are outside before they throw confetti. If possible please use bio degradable confetti.

Party poppers and spray string should not be used. Please check with registration staff as some local restrictions apply.

Photographers and video

Videos can be taken at any point before, during and after the ceremony provided that it does not interrupt the proceedings.

Please inform the registration staff so that the cameraman can be directed to a suitable position. Your guests are welcome to take photographs before and after the ceremony, but the ”official” photographer should speak to registration staff to agree mutually acceptable points at which photographs can be taken during the ceremony.

Parking for ceremony car

There is a drop off area in the car park specifically for ceremony cars. This area is covered by the car park regulations and therefore the car cannot be left unattended in this space during the ceremony. Please ensure that you have advised the driver. If the car is chauffeured and the driver stays with it then it can stay there, otherwise this should only be used as a drop off point for the arriving couple.

Alternatively Ringwood Gateway is immediately adjacent to The Furlong and the ceremony car can stop on the roadside to allow the arriving couple to get out of the car, this means a short walk to the Gateway building part of which is undercover. The ceremony car should then be moved into the car park.

The paved area outside Ringwood Gateway is pedestrianised. Cars may not be driven onto the paved area. There are regular parking patrols in the area. As we want you to enjoy your special day please make sure that everyone attending your ceremony is aware of these arrangements.
