Citizenship ceremonies
- Attending a ceremony
-
You do not need to contact us to book a ceremony. Once your British Citizenship has been approved by the Home Office and they have authorised a ceremony, they will send us your Certificate of Naturalisation and we will contact you to invite you to attend your citizenship ceremony at one of our Register Offices. If you wish to book a private ceremony please contact us at hampshire.ceremonies@hants.gov.uk
- What happens at a ceremony

The ceremony lasts about 30 minutes and includes:
- introduction and welcome
- new citizens will then swear or affirm allegiance to The King and make a pledge of loyalty
- presentation of Certificate of Naturalisation
Please ensure that you arrive 30 minutes before your ceremony start time to allow time to check your documentation.
