Will you pledge to #SayYesToSuccess and make the most of your child’s lunch with a nutritious school meal?
We believe school lunch is a fantastic way for children to share the experience of trying new foods. Knowing that your child is having a healthy, delicious meal every day is one less thing for you to worry about.
Food to Flourish
Our nutritious school lunch helps children flourish by giving them the right balance of nutrients and energy to enhance concentration during afternoon lessons, in assembly or on the sports field. It contributes to building lifelong healthy eating habits that will allow them to flourish as their minds and bodies grow.
Our Food to Flourish Classroom is a suite of curriculum-based free teaching resources for our schools to use to engage pupils with healthy food.
What’s FRESH at HC3S
Discover what’s new about our Summer menu
Our primary school lunch menu launching after the Easter break, has four key new recipes for school lunches that we know school pupils will love. The menu has undergone six months of rigorous taste testing by keyworker children still at school through lockdown plus tasters at schools in March. Our new chicken curry recipe was tweaked five times to get it right and children at Portway Primary School in Andover and Stanmore Primary School in Winchester were fully involved in developing the recipe to make it unique with flavours they wanted. The result is a delicious array of cumin, turmeric and coriander succulently cooked in a homemade tomato sauce with a mix of 100% Red Tractor 50% chicken breast and 50% chicken thigh for more flavour. And all cooked from scratch by our expert cooks to perfect the ultra-moist taste.
Based on feedback from the children who enjoyed our spring quiche, our new quiche is packed full of veg for hints of Summer. Vegetable goujons were a hit this year so we asked our Wiltshire supplier, Red House Foods, to develop a burger so we can add 20% more veg to the recipe to help children eat more vegetables.
